RF Source
APELC’s Footlocker high-power RF source transmits a wideband RF pulse with an electric-field amplitude over 170 kV/m @ 1m. It uses a 400-MHz dipole antenna backed by a corner reflector. The corner reflector is used to increase antenna directivity and to reduce the back-lobe radiated field. The Footlocker is typically used to study electronic-attack effects and electronic equipment vulnerabilities from a mobile platform.
