Power Sensor: Extended Temperature Range

LadyBug Technologies’ new LB957A active temperature controlled mounting system is compatible with any of the company’s power sensors. LadyBug power sensors are thermally stabilized and do not drift or require measurement interruption to perform user zero and cal. When combined with the temperature controlled mounting system, the power sensors thermally stable operating range is extended to -55°C to +55°C.

The system is ideal for users requiring accurate measurements for fixed remote applications and is compatible with the company’s unattended measurement option (Option UOP) which makes and stores measurements autonomously.

0.9 mm Connectors

Connectors in the 0.9 mm SuperMini product line provide the superior performance of Southwest Microwave’s standard-size, high frequency connectors in a miniaturized footprint that is ideal for reduced-size PCB and panel applications, offering ultra-broad bandwidth and coupling nut mating. 0.9 mm SuperMini connectors are rugged and durable, featuring a 360° raised grounding ring and a temperature range of -55°C to 165°C.

These connectors provide mode-free operation through 67 GHz, offering well-matched impedance, excellent repeatability, and the industry’s lowest VSWR (1.2:1), insertion loss (0.7 dB) and RF leakage (≤ -100 dB).

Automotive Radar (77 GHz)

OML contributes to the R&D and manufacture of today's automotive radar technology, including FCC Part 15 emissions testing to 231 GHz, 15.253(e). By characterizing devices and antennas, this emerging technology is helping to improve safety on roadways throughout the world.

The excellent performance, stability and reliability of the instrumentation simplifies installation, alignment and maintenance activities. By leveraging existing microwave instruments, the OML frequency extension solutions are affordable, which helps with the adoption curve of this technology. This light weight technology also helps to improve on fuel economy.

Qorvo® to Create State-of-the-Art Semiconductor Packaging Center

Qorvo® has been selected by the U.S. government to create a State-of-the-Art (SOTA) Heterogeneous Integrated Packaging (SHIP) RF production and prototyping center. The SHIP program will ensure that microelectronics packaging expertise and leadership is available for both U.S. defense contractors and commercial clients that require design, validation, assembly, test and manufacturing of next-generation RF components.

The exclusive SHIP Other Transaction Agreement (OTA), worth up to $75 million, was awarded to Qorvo by the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Crane Division. This program is funded by the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering’s (OUSD R&E) Trusted and Assured Microelectronics Program (T&AM), and is administered by the Strategic & Spectrum Missions Advanced Resilient Trusted System (S²MARTS) Other Transaction Agreement (OTA), managed by National Security Technology Accelerator (NSTXL).

Under the SHIP program, Qorvo will design and deliver the highest levels of heterogeneous packaging integration. This is essential to meet the size, weight, power and cost (SWAP-C) requirements for next-generation phased array radar systems, unmanned vehicles, electronic warfare platforms and satellite communications.
