The main features of the series are: High-Q above 10,000, Low ESR, High Operating Voltage, High Operating Current, and High Reliability. Kappa 438 laminates feature the performance of mid-tier circuit materials that exceed performance limitations of FR-4 and provide the optimum blend of price, performance and durability. Kappa 438 laminates have low loss, excellent dielectric constant (Dk) tolerance and tight thickness control, and are engineered for outstanding, repeatable wireless performance. Kappa 438 laminates have a low Z axis CTE and High Tg for improved design flexibility, PTH reliability and automated assembly compatibility. They can be fabricated using standard epoxy/glass (FR-4) processes.

PMI Model No. PE2-500M18G-5R0-21-12-SFF is a 0.5 to 18.0 GHz, low noise amplifier that provides 24 dB min of gain while maintaining a maximum gain flatness of ±2.0 dB over the operating frequency. The noise figure is 5.0 dB maximum and offers a typical OP1dB of 21 dBm. The operating voltage is +12 to +15 VDC with a nominal current draw of 375 mA. Supplied with removable SMA(F) connectors in our standard PE2 housing.

BMA Connectors

Pasternack released a new line of 52 BMA connectors and adapters with maximum operating frequency of 22 GHz. Typical applications include blind mating, rack and panels, phased array systems, RF backplanes and high-speed switching. The new product line is made up of 45 connectors with VSWR as low as 1.2:1, and 7 adapters with VSWR as low as 1.15:1. They feature gold-plated BeCu contacts, 50 Ohm impedance and a temperature range of -65°C to +125°C. Many of the models provide radial and axial float to help with alignment.

Richardson RFPD announced availability and full design support capabilities for a selection of new low noise amplifiers and switches for test and measurement applications from Microsemi Corporation.

The new GaAs MMIC wideband low noise amplifiers (MMA040AA, MMA041AA, MMA043AA and MMA044AA) deliver excellent performance with flat gain over a frequency range as wide as DC-28 GHz, and significantly better OIP3 performance compared to existing market solutions. The new GaAs MMIC multi-throw switches (MMS006AA and MMS008AA) provide broad frequency coverage combined with superior insertion loss, isolation and IIP3 performance.

Coaxial Switch

High reliability Single Pole Four Throw (SP4T) for space applications. The operating frequency range is from DC to 40.0 GHz with K connector. Low power input with operating voltage from 22 – 34 Vdc (28 Vdc Nominal) at extreme temperatures of -30°C to +85°C. The SP4T Coaxial Switch is latching type and equipped with suppression diodes, telemetry circuitry and 50 ohms terminations. In addition, it also features: multiple output RF transmission lines, robust and compact design and reliable.

Signal Generator: Up to 44 GHz

Keysight Technologies announced the industry's first scalable PXIe microwave signal generator with frequency coverage up to 44 GHz and modulation bandwidth up to 1 GHz for generating complex waveforms used in emerging 5G and aerospace and defense DVT applications. Exclusive DDS technology with the synthesizer VCO provides excellent phase noise performance. When combined with the baseband performance, the M9383A PXIe signal generator delivers 1 percent EVM, a critical measure of 5G modulated signal performance, for 800 MHz wide pre-5G waveforms.
